Iredia Goodness named Mid-South Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Iredia Goodness has been named the Mid-South Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after impressing once again at the Life University Open in Marietta, Georgia.
Goodness was announced Monday by the Mid-South Conference office after he won the long jump with a mark of 7.69m thereby setting a new top mark in the NAIA.
He also finished in second in the high jump at 2.00m.
This is Goodness’ second Mid-South Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honour this season and the fifth weekly honour of his career.
The Cumberland freshman earned his first NAIA Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week early this month.
The Nigerian claimed two victories at the Kennesaw State Invite with wins in the long jump and the triple jump.
Goodness stole the show with a new school-record in the triple jump, the top NAIA mark, at 15.76m. He also won the long jump with a mark of 7.39m to post the fourth-best mark in the NAIA. Both marks meet NAIA “A” standards.
