It’s a first ever all-Manchester FA Cup final!

Victor Lindelof tees up an all-Manchester FA Cup final on 3 June after he scored the decisive penalty kick to give Manchester United a 7-6 penalty shootout win against Brighton on Sunday evening.

They will now play Manchester City in the final after Pep Guardiola’s men whipped Sheffield United 3-0 in the first semifinal on Saturday.

This will be only the third time in the club’s history, Manchester United have reached the final of both the League Cup and FA Cup in the same season – also doing so in 1982-83 and 1993-94.

The Red Devils won the League Cup in February, defeating Newcastle 2-0 but their hopes of another treble went up in the air last week thursday when they lost 3-0 to Sevilla in their Europa League quarterfinal clash.

Man United goalkeeper, David De Gea however believes they can beat Man City again.

“It was a very tight game we played a very good team. Brighton play really good football. We are now in the final but we have another big game on Thursday so we need to go home and recover.

“They were great penalties. I was prepared as always. I tried to put pressure on the takers.

“There’s still a long way to the final but it will be a big game against one of the best teams in Europe and the world.

“We showed at home we can beat them [Man City] so let’s hope.

“We are on the right track. One trophy, another final and fighting for the top four. It’s not enough but it’s a big step from last season,’ he told BBC One after the game.
