It’s now-or-never week for Inter Milan in pursuit of Lookman

Inter Milan’s chase for Atalanta star Ademola Lookman has reached a critical juncture, with this week shaping up to be decisive in determining whether the Nigerian forward will make the move to San Siro.

According to multiple reports, including Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are preparing a final offer of €45 million, inching closer to Atalanta’s €50 million valuation.

Their initial €40 million bid was swiftly rejected but Inter remain determined to land their top attacking target before the saga drags into August.

Lookman, who has already agreed personal terms with Inter and expressed a strong desire to join the Champions League finalists, is reportedly pushing for the transfer behind the scenes.

His entourage is actively working to soften Atalanta’s stance, hoping the player’s commitment to the move will tip negotiations in Inter’s favor.

Inter’s revised offer is expected to be a straight permanent deal, with payments structured in installments and performance-based bonuses, mirroring the approach Juventus used in their drawn-out acquisition of Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta last summer.

However, Inter are keen to avoid a similar saga and want the deal wrapped up this week.
