Iwobi, Chukwueze Among Standout Performers in EPL Matchweek 25

Matchweek 25 of the Premier League produced several standout performances, with Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze featuring prominently in key statistical categories.
Chukwueze ranked second only to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes in successful passes into the penalty area, recording four compared to Fernandes’ six. His creativity and forward thrust were vital in breaking defensive lines.
Iwobi also impressed with his distribution. He completed 25 passes in the final third, placing him third behind Kobbie Mainoo (33) and Casemiro (27).
In addition, Iwobi registered 12 successful passes into the final third, second only to Lisandro Martínez of Manchester United, who managed 19.
Despite their individual brilliance, Iwobi and Chukwueze were unable to prevent Fulham from securing a home victory over Everton.
Meanwhile, Calvin Bassey was listed as an unused substitute for the second time in three games since returning from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named among the tournament’s Best XI.
