Iwobi looking to score first Premier League goal against Chelsea since 2018

Alex Iwobi will be seeking to score his first Premier League goal against Chelsea in seven years when the west London side visit the Craven Cottage Sunday afternoon to face Fulham in a Matchweek 33 game.

The former Arsenal academy graduate has been named in the starting line for the 31st time in 33 games so far this season.

Iwobi scored his first and, so far, only Premier League goal against the Blues in August 2018 when he drew Arsenal 2-2 level at Stamford Bridge on 41 minutes before Marcos Alonso scored the winner for the home side in the 81st minute.

The Nigerian is in the best scoring form of his life in the Premier League this season as his eight goals are his most in a single Premier League season.

He will thus be looking to add to his eight goals and a brace will make him the 10th Nigerian to score at least 10 goals in a Premier League history in the history of the competition.

He has set several firsts as a Nigerian in the competition.

His 34 assists are the most provided by a Nigerian in the history of the Premier League. He has fired more shots and most shots on target, he has made the highest number of starts, has played more minutes and substituted more than any Nigerian in the history of the competition.
