Iwobi nears 90 for Fulham as historic century chase continues

Alex Iwobi is on the verge of another milestone in his Premier League journey, as he prepares to make his 90th appearance for Fulham across all competitions this weekend.

The Nigerian midfielder will reach the mark if he features at Goodison Park against his former club Everton in matchweek 11, a venue where he spent four seasons before switching to Craven Cottage.

The 29-year-old joined Fulham in 2023 after a stint at Everton and has since become a key figure for the Cottagers, scoring 16 goals in 89 appearances.

With his sights now set on reaching 100 games for Fulham, Iwobi is on track to become the first Super Eagles player to record at least a century of appearances for three different English clubs.

His journey began at Arsenal, where he made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals before moving to Everton in 2019. At Goodison Park, he featured in 140 matches across all competitions, though his goal tally dipped to nine.

Since arriving at Fulham, his form has surged, and he’s already netted 16 goals in just 89 games.

In total, Iwobi has played 301 matches in the Premier League. Of those, 123 came during his time at Everton, where he scored six goals. He made 100 appearances for Arsenal, contributing 11 goals, and has added 15 goals in 78 league outings for Fulham.
