Jackson blasts Mikel after scoring Chelsea’s fastest goal since 2017 in Wolves win

Nicolas Jackson scored Chelsea’s fastest goal since 2017 when he fired home the opener in the Blues 6-2 win at Wolves after just 93 seconds.

The Senegalese also provided the assist for Cole Palmer on 40 minutes to restore Chelsea’s lead after Matheus Cunha drew the host level on 27 minutes.

The 23-year-old took to his social media page after the game to attack Chelsea legend, Mikel Obi who had queried why the club he played for in the Premier League for 10 seasons could entrust Jackson with the responsibility of firing them to win trophies.

‘You need to have a striker who knows how to hit a ball in the back of the net and that’s what we don’t have. I know I talk so much about him [Jackson] and sometimes I sound like I disrespect him, but I don’t disrespect him,” Mikel told beIN Sports.

Jackson posted a message for Mikel on his Instagram story, tagging the Nigerian directly in the post after apparently hearing what he had said about him.

“@john_mikel_obi shut your mouth don’t talk s***, we are killing ourselves for Africa,” Jackson wrote.

Jackson joined Chelsea in July 2023 and netted 18 times in 46 games across all competitions.
