Jake Paul: ‘When I Beat Joshua, All Doubts Will Be Erased’

YouTube star vows to put 'Britain’s Goliath' to sleep in Miami

YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul is set to face former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in Miami next month, in a bout that promises to shake the boxing world.

The fight, announced by Matchroom Boxing on Monday, will take place on December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Florida.

Scheduled for eight rounds and contested with 10-ounce gloves, the clash pits Joshua, a two-time unified world champion, against Paul, who has built a professional record of 12 wins and 1 loss.

Paul enters the contest with bold claims, describing the bout as a ‘day of reckoning.’

The 28-year-old has already stunned the sport by defeating Mike Tyson in November 2024 and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in June, victories that have fueled his confidence heading into this showdown.

‘This is not an AI simulation, this is a day of reckoning,’ Paul declared.

‘A professional heavyweight bout against an elite world champion in his heyday. When I beat Anthony Joshua, all doubts will be erased and no one will be able to refuse the opportunity to fight me for the world championship.’

Addressing Joshua directly, Paul added: ‘On Friday, December 19, under the lights of Miami… The torch will change hands and Britain’s Goliath will be put to sleep.’
