Josh Maja hopes West Brom goal is first of many more to come
West Brom striker Josh Maja has told his club, West Brom’s official website he hopes his first goal for the club will be th first of many more to come.
The Nigerian scored on 89 minutes to draw the Baggies level after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall had put visitors, Leicester City 1-0 up via an Ndidi assist in the 72nd minute.
‘It was a big moment for me to get my first goal for the club. Hopefully it’s the first of many.
It was Maja’s first goal in the competition for West Brom in eight appearances.
Meanwhile, the 24 year old says he and his teammates disappointment in their 2-1 loss to Leicester City at the Hawthorns despite netting his first goal for the Baggies on his eighth appearance following his free transfer in the summer.
‘We’re obviously really disappointed. We showed a lot of character and we can take a lot of positives from today, despite the disappointment of the result.
‘Hopefully we can bounce back quickly.
