Juventus lead Napoli and Milan in race for Boniface

Serie A giants, Juventus, Milan and Napoli have been reported to be in the race to sign Bayer Leverkussen’s Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface.

Boniface has been very impressive since he signed for the German Bundesliga side last summer from Belgian Pro League side, Union Saint-Gilloise in July for €20.5m.

He scored and provided an assist as Bayer Leverkusen guaranteed top spot at Christmas with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend.

It was his 15th goal and eight assists in 22 competitive games so far this season.

Italian news oulet, Corriere di Torino says Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is working on a swoop for next summer at
€40m, the Nigerian’s recent valuation by transfermarkt.

Another Italian news outlet, Tuttomercatoweb believes Napoli see Boniface as the ideal heir to his fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen, should any of the forward’s suitors pay the €140m release clause.

Milan are also linked with a move for Boniface.
