Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani: Dikko will take Nigerian sports to a higher level
Executive Governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani is confident former second vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation and chairman of the defunct League Management Company, LMC, Shehu Dikko will take Nigerian sports to a higher level following his appointment as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission.
Dikko was appointed the NSC Chairman by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday following the scrapping of the Federal Ministry of Sports Development.
John Enoh, the Minister in charge of the Sports Development until it was scrapped was demoted to the rank of a junior minister and moved to another ministry.
Senator Sani expressed his delight with the appointment of Dikko to take charge of the Commission and thanked President Buhari for considering a son of the state worthy of the enormous task of repositioning sports in Nigeria.
