Kanu: We believe coach Yemi can take Enyimba to greater heights

Chairman of Enyimba international football club and former Nigeria international, Nwankwo Kanu says he believes Yemi Daniel Olanrewaju is capable of leading the Peoples Elephant to greater heights after the gaffer penned deal as Enyimba head coach.

Yema, as he is mostly called, has been promoted to head coach of Enyimba FC, signing a one-year contract.

He joined the club two seasons ago as assistant coach to Finidi George and has been instrumental in the team’s success during that period. His tactical acumen and ability to motivate players have been key factors in his rise through the ranks.

‘Coach Yemi has been an invaluable member of our coaching staff. We believe he has the skills and expertise to take the team to the next level, and we look forward to seeing the team thrive under his leadership, Kanu told the club’s website.

Coach Yema says he is honoured to take on his new role.

‘I’m honored to take on this new role and grateful to the club’s chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, for the trust he has placed in me,’ Yema said. ‘We’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m excited to lead the team to even greater heights.’
