Kazeem Olaigbe Set for Trabzonspor Switch After Rennes Agreement

Belgian-Nigerian winger Kazeem Olaigbe is on the verge of completing a move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor after the club reached a full agreement with Rennes.

According to Foot Mercato and L’Équipe, the 22-year-old has already left Rennes and is expected in Turkey this week for medicals and contract signing. Olaigbe, who is under contract with Rennes until 2029, will join Trabzonspor as part of their ongoing squad overhaul.

The former Southampton academy product played just 10 Ligue 1 matches last season, registering two assists. He had been sidelined from Rennes’ preseason plans and was actively seeking a move for more playing time.

Trabzonspor, who recently signed fellow Nigerian Paul Onuachu, are building a youthful and dynamic attack, and Olaigbe’s arrival adds depth to their flanks.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but Olaigbe’s market value is estimated at €5 million.
