Lagos Sports Commission DG, Fatodu Hosts Super Falcons Star Ijamilusi, Pledges Stronger Sports Partnerships

The Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, has hosted Super Falcons forward Folashade Ijamilusi at his office in Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, during a courtesy visit that underscored the state’s commitment to sports development and youth empowerment.
During the meeting, Fatodu reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s dedication to accelerating support for sports through strategic partnerships with private individuals and corporate organizations. He emphasized that with the right structure, support, and collaborative spirit, there is no limit to what can be achieved in advancing sports in Nigeria.
Fatodu praised Ijamilusi’s contributions to national and grassroots football, highlighting her role in Nigeria’s triumph at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. He also commended her efforts in promoting education and sports development, noting that her advocacy serves as a powerful inspiration for young girls across various disciplines.
Ijamilusi, who represented Lagos at the National Championship, was lauded as a testament to the state’s investment in nurturing talent from the grassroots.
