Lampard Hails Onyeka’s Stunning Strike in Coventry City Victory

Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard has praised Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka after his spectacular opener helped the Sky Blues to a 3-2 victory over Derby County in the Championship.
Onyeka struck in the 12th minute with a brilliant angled finish into the far top corner, setting the tone for a thrilling contest at Pride Park.
Substitute Jack Rudoni later sealed the win with his second goal of the night, ensuring Coventry extended their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
Lampard, delighted with his side’s eighth win in nine matches, singled out Onyeka’s contribution: ‘It was brilliant from Frank, not just the finish, but the winning of the ball back and the skill near the touchline before joining in again. It’s the attributes we brought him in to do, but the special thing is the goal. He’s hungry to get in there and shoot, and it was a fantastic strike.’
