Lazio likely to offload Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in January window

Lazio are expected to place midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru on the transfer market in January, according to reports in Il Messaggero.

While sporting director Fabiani is said to be reluctant to sanction the move, head coach Maurizio Sarri has reportedly made it clear that the Nigerian is surplus to his immediate plans.

The 24-year-old only recently returned from injury and has shown glimpses of the pace and technical quality that once marked him out as a player for the future.

Dele-Bashiru is also set to join Nigeria for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, a stage that could further highlight his potential.

His versatility and attacking flair make him an appealing option for clubs seeking energy and creativity in midfield.

Lazio’s need to generate funds to support Sarri’s request for three to four reinforcements has made Dele-Bashiru a prime candidate for departure.

A sale could open the door for a quick transfer, allowing the midfielder to move to a club where his talent can be fully utilized and developed.
