Leicester 2-1 Wolves: Iheanacho named official MOTM, ready to play anywhere in survival battle

Kelechi Iheanacho has been voted the official man of the match in Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat of Wolves at the King Power stadium on Saturday.

The Nigerian scored the equaliser for the Foxes on 37 minutes after Matheus Cunha gave the visitors the lead after 13 minutes.

The 26 year old was all over the pitch and set up Jamie Vardy to win the penalty and then confidently converted it.He had two shots on target and two successful dribbles.

This would be the third time this season the former Manchester City forward will be named official man of the match by the Premier League.

He was the best player on the pitch in February when the Foxes defeated Aston Villa 4-2 at the Villa Park, scoring once and provided two assist.

The Nigerian was also adjudged to be the man of the match in Leicester City’s next game, the 4-1 demolition of Tottenham at the King Power stadium, scoring one and provided one assist.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho says he is ready to play anywhere upfront for the club as long as it guarantees their safety.

‘I don’t mind where I play, whether it’s up front, or No.10 or on the wing. I just need to help my team to get the points that we need. Together we can do
it. We just stick together.

‘We are going to enjoy it, but we need to focus on the next game now. Hopefully we keep the momentum going into the next game and keep winning.’
