Liverpool Legend Dietmar Hamann Backs Osimhen for Premier League Success

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has hailed Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as one of Europe’s finest forwards, insisting the Nigerian star would thrive in the Premier League.
Speaking to Metro, Hamann expressed surprise that Osimhen is yet to make the move to England, given his dynamic playing style.
‘Osimhen is an extraordinary player. The reason Galatasaray is performing so well in the league is probably because of Osimhen. I enjoy watching him,’ Hamann said. ‘I think if he played in the Premier League, he would significantly strengthen the team he plays for.’
Hamann, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, described Osimhen as ‘one of the top five strikers in Europe’ and admitted he was shocked that no English club secured his signature last summer.
‘I couldn’t believe Osimhen transferred to Turkey. I was really surprised that no English team signed him. Everyone had a striker problem last summer,’ he added.
The German legend went further to suggest potential Premier League destinations for the Nigerian forward.
‘Liverpool have two players in that position, so it wouldn’t be a problem for Osimhen, but he’s an outstanding player. He has speed, strength, and goal-scoring ability. If Newcastle United sell Nick Woltemade, Osimhen could be a perfect choice for them,’ Hamann concluded.
Osimhen, who recently scored a decisive derby winner against Besiktas, continues to enhance his reputation as one of the most lethal strikers in European football.
