Lobi Stars Set for Federation Cup Round of 64 Battle
Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi will put their relegation worries in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, in the cooler when they square off against Discovery Talent Football Academic of Kebbi in the Round of 64 of the President Federation Cup tomorrow, March 19, 2025, at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, by 10:00 am.
After clinching the Benue State Federation Cup title with a victory over Flight FC of Gboko, the Alia Boys earned their place in the national stage.
Their opponents, Discovery Talent FA, also secured qualification by overcoming Sokoto North in the playoffs.
Both teams have had limited encounters, but their last meeting in the 2024 Gusau/Ahlan Preseason Tournament ended in a 1-0 win for Lobi Stars, who later went on to lift the trophy.
