Lookman, Aina, Onyeka looking to sign off with wins before AFCON

Super Eagles trio of forward Ademola Lookman, defender Ola Aina and midfielder Frank Onyeka will be looking to sign off on a winning note before heading to
the United Arab Emirates for Nigeria’s pre-Africa Cup of Nations preparatory camp.
The trio will on be in action on Saturday evening with Loookman seeking to score his seventh goal of the season in 18 appearances for Atalanta in the Serie A
this season.
The 26 year old has been in a good scoring form lately as he has scored thrice and bagged an assist in Atalanta’s last five Serie A games and he will fancy
his chances of scoring to signal his readiness for 2023 AFCON which starts January 13 in Ivory Coast.
If he scores and Atalanta defeat visiting Leece at the Gewiss Stadium Saturday evening, it will be the Nigerian’s first goal and first win against the visitors in three Serie A games.
Lookman has netted 19 times and provided 11 assists in 48 Serie A games since he moved to Italy in August 2022. Overall, he has scored 21 times in 55 games
for Atalanta across all competitions.
In England, the duo of Aina and Onyeka will be looking for earn their first win against Manchester United and Crystal Palace respectively.
Aina, who has scored one and made another in 13 Premier League games for Nothingham Forest so far this season has neither scored nor bagged a win in the two games h has featured against Man United who visit the City Ground Saturday evening.
Brentford’s Onyeka, who is still looking for his first Premier League goal after 56 appearances will also be in the mood to earn his first Premier League win against Crystal Palace who he visits with his club Saturday evening at Selhurst Park.
