Lookman Bags Third Assist as Atlético Madrid Cruise Past Club Brugge

Ademola Lookman continued his fine form for Atlético Madrid, coming off the bench to provide an assist in the Spanish side’s 4-1 demolition of Club Brugge in their UEFA Champions League playoff tie in Madrid on Tuesday night.
The Nigerian forward, 28, has been in sparkling form since joining Atlético from Serie A outfit Atalanta.
He has now registered three assists in seven games for the club and scored four times, with two of those assists coming in the Copa del Rey and the latest arriving in Europe.
Lookman’s overall Champions League record now stands at five assists in 18 appearances, alongside seven goals. His creativity and sharpness have been vital for Atlético as they look to make a deep run in the competition.
The victory sets up a return to England for Lookman in the round of 16, with Atlético likely to be drawn against either Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool.
