Lookman becomes Atalanta’s Most Valuable Player, 10th in Serie A, 2nd in Nigeria

Reigning African Player of the Year 2024, Ademola Lookman is now his club, Atalanta’s most valuable player following Transfermarkt’s update on the Serie A.

The 27-year-old is now worth €55m, up by €15m from the €40m he was valued last July.

With his new valuation, the Nigerian has been ranked number one among all players registered by Atalanta for the ongoing season. He is also ranked number 10 among all players of the Serie A, number 2 among all players from Nigeria behind Victor Osimhen who is valued at €75m and of course number one among all players playing as second striker in the world.

Lookman is ranked the 71st most valuable players in the world.

The Nigerian has continued to soar in his market valuation since he switched Leicester City in the Premier League for Atalanta, moving from €10m in June 2022 to €20m in November of the same year after joining the Serie A club in August 2022.

Since then, he has seen his valuation moved to €30m in 2023, €40m in June this year before soaring to €55m on Wednesday.

Lookman has scored 43 goals in 97 appearances for Atalanta thus far, much more than the 21 he has scored in 144 appearances for Everton, Leicester City, Fulham FC and RB Leipzig.

Also in the Serie A, Lazio midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s market value rose by €2m to €6m while Maduka Okoye retained his €7.5m valuation to remain the most valuable Nigerian goalkeeper ever.
