Lookman chooses Inter Milan over Napoli and Atletico Madrid

Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has made his intentions clear: he wants to join Inter Milan, turning down interest from Napoli and Atletico Madrid in the process.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and FCInterNews.it, Lookman has already agreed to personal terms with Inter, signing off on a five-year contract worth €4.5 million annually, rising to €5 million. The Nerazzurri have submitted a €40 million bid to Atalanta and are prepared to allocate the bulk of their summer transfer budget to secure the deal.
Despite Napoli’s renewed interest and a lucrative offer, Lookman’s camp has informed all suitors that Inter is his only choice this summer. Atletico Madrid’s approach was similarly rebuffed, as the 27-year-old forward remains focused on a move to San Siro.
Inter Milan are optimistic about reaching an agreement with Atalanta, and sources close to the negotiations suggest that Lookman himself will push for the transfer to be finalized swiftly. The club may slightly increase their upfront offer to meet Atalanta’s valuation and avoid drawn-out negotiations.
Lookman, who played a pivotal role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph and has become one of Serie A’s standout performers, is now poised to take the next step in his career with the Italian giants.
