Lookman is Atalanta’s player of the 2023/24 season!

Ademola Lookman has been named Serie A side, Atalanta player of the season.

The Nigerian was the club’s hero in the Europa League final as his hat-trick ensured La Dea was crowned European champion for the first time in its history.

He netted 17 times in 45 appearances for the club this term with 11 of the goals scored in 31 Serie A appearances which ensured he scored at least 10 goals for the second straight season in the competition after netting 13 times in 31 games the previous season.

The 26 year old also netted five goals in 11 appearances in the Europa League with the hat-trick in Atalanta’s 3-0 defeat of Bayer Leverkusen the icing on the cage of his very impressive performance in the competition.

Lookman thus became one of the six players to score a hat-trick in a European final.
