Lookman Nets Fifth Goal in Six Games Vs Fiorentina, Rated Atalanta’s Best Player

Ademola Lookman has now scored five goals in six Serie A games against Fiorentina, the joint most he has managed against any club in the league.
He has also netted five times in seven matches against Napoli and five in six against Empoli. This season he has two goals in nine Serie A appearances, taking his overall tally to 41 in 102 games in the competition and 55 in 131 matches across all competitions since joining Atalanta.
Against Fiorentina, Lookman was once again the star of the show. Local paper TuttoAtalanta described him as having ‘il diavolo in corpo’, a demon inside him, because of the energy and determination he showed.
Every time he touched the ball he looked dangerous, running at defenders and creating panic. His goal in the second half came from pure striker’s instinct, showing why he is seen as the soul of Atalanta’s attack.
The newspaper explained that when Lookman plays with this kind of intensity, Atalanta’s whole attacking style changes. He becomes the main reference point, the spark that drives the team forward.
His match rating of 7.5 was more than just a number; it was a sign that he is the heartbeat of Palladino’s new project.
