Lookman Restores Atalanta Ties, But Galatasaray Pushes Hard

Ademola Lookman has taken a step toward reconciliation with Atalanta after months of tension, restoring all the photos of himself in the club’s shirt on his Instagram profile.

The gesture comes after a turbulent summer in which the Nigerian forward was left frustrated by a blocked move to Inter, a decision that created an emotional rift between player and club.

While the social media move signals a thaw in relations, Lookman’s future remains far from settled. Interest in the 27-year-old continues to grow abroad, with Galatasaray emerging as the most determined suitor.

Reports from Turkey suggest the Istanbul giants are preparing a lucrative offer worth around €9 million per season, figures that Serie A clubs cannot realistically match.

The Turkish side is also relying on the influence of Victor Osimhen, Lookman’s compatriot and close friend, to persuade him to consider the move.

Atalanta, however, are standing firm. Lookman is under contract until 2027, and the Bergamo club insists that only a major bid would force them to consider a sale.

Beyond the financial aspect, the psychological dimension of rebuilding trust between player and club is equally significant.

New coach Raffaele Palladino has underlined Lookman’s importance to his plans.

Speaking at his presentation, Palladino revealed he had personally called the forward during international duty and was impressed with his attitude.

‘How important is Ademola for us? A lot,’ the coach said, adding that his role will be evaluated based on training performances.
