Lookman Seeks Premier League Transfer Amid Atalanta Standoff

Ademola Lookman has returned to Atalanta’s training ground in Zingonia following a two-week absence, but the Nigerian forward remains sidelined from the main squad as tensions persist over his future.

The 27-year-old, who scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 40 appearances last season, had been pushing for a move to Inter Milan. However, negotiations collapsed after Atalanta rejected a €45 million offer, including add-ons. In response, Lookman reportedly refused to train, prompting disciplinary action from the club.

With Inter now out of the picture, Atalanta has made it clear that any potential transfer must be to a club outside Italy. According to reports, Lookman’s representatives have reached out to several Premier League sides—including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—in search of a new destination.

Arsenal have previously been linked with the player, though no formal bid has been made this summer. Lookman, who turns 28 in October, remains hopeful of securing a move before the transfer window closes.

Atalanta continues to assess its options, while the player trains separately under club supervision.
