Man City 4-2 Tottenham: Mahrez Says Cityzens ‘Deserved The Win”

Man City cut Arsenal's lead at the top to five points

Man City goalscorer Riyad Mahrez says they deserved to go home with all three points after they came back from 2-0 down in the first half to defeat Tottenham 4-2 at the Etihad in a Premier league Matchweek 20 fixture.

Tottenham scored two quick goals in the final four minutes of the first half and Man City responded early in the second half with their own two goals in two minutes before Mahrez scored twice to seal the win and all three points.

“We played good in the first half, had the ball and they didn’t have anything apart from the two goals we conceded.

‘We were a bit frustrated at half-time but we knew we’ve done it before, come back from two goals down and we were really good in the second half, got the two goals early and that helped us push them. We deserved the win”

Manchester City have won their last two Premier League games in which they’ve been two goals behind at half-time. They last did it vs Crystal Palace in August.

Tottenham meanwhile have lost a Premier League match in which they led by two goals at half-time for the first time since April 2009, when they were beaten 5-2 by Manchester United.
