Manna: Osimhen and Napoli were not keen on Galatasaray loan transfer, but…
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has revealed both Osimhen and the club were not keen on the transfer initially.
Speaking to Radio CRC, Manna stated that Osimhen’s departure to Galatasaray was an opportunity transfer.
‘The transfer market in Europe was closed and as soon as the summer window was over, they came to us for Osimhen.
‘In the beginning, Osimhen and I were not very keen on a loan transfer.
‘We were then able to talk to the player and find a solution, and everyone was satisfied. Obviously, we would have liked to sell him, but that wasn’t possible.’
