Marie-Josee Ta Lou not happy running 10.88 in Lausanne

Double world sprint silver medallist, Marie-Josee Ta Lou sped to her 10th win in 11 100m races this year, stop the clocking at 10.88 seconds at the Athletissima in Lausanne on Friday night but the 34 year old is not happy with her time.

Ta Lou seems to be the most on-form sprinter so far this year and tops the 2023 world list with the 10.75 seconds she ran
to win at the Bislett Games Diamond League meeting in Oslo, Norway.

Her 10.88 run in Lausanne is the sixth time she will legally go under 11 seconds this season.

Ta Lou however feels she could have run faster if not for the conditions at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise in Lausanne.
“I was happy with my race, but not really with my time. I will have to work as usual with my coach. The conditions weren´t
ideal, it was cold for me. But I´m happy atleast I ran under the 11 second barriers,’ she said during her post race interview.
Great Britain’s Commonwealth Games silver medalist, Daryl Neita was second in the race and like Ta Lou, she was not pleased with her time as well.

‘Tonight, it didn´t feel great. My timing was 11.07 and I was hoping that I would stay below the 11 mark, but it´s okay
after all even though it was not my best performance. The crowd is amazing, the location is amazing.’
