Mary Akinsola appointed Media Officer for Super Falcons

The Nigeria Football Federation has officially named seasoned media and public relations professional Mary Akinsola as the new media officer for the Senior Women National Team, the Super Falcons.
With over a decade of experience in sports communication and management, Akinsola has carved out a distinguished career across both local and international platforms. Her previous roles include serving as a production and commentary coordinator at Warner Bros Discovery (Eurosport), contributing as a writer and digital media manager at Sportsgazette.uk, and hosting podcasts and crafting compelling sports content at ACLSports.com. Holding a master’s degree in international Sports Journalism from St. Mary’s University, London, Akinsola has overseen media production efforts for some of the world’s most high-profile sporting events—spanning the Olympic Games, tennis Grand Slams, the English Premier League, and top-tier European football competitions.
Now joining the Super Falcons ahead of the 13th Women Africa Cup of Nations kicking off in Morocco on July 5, Akinsola aligns her deep-rooted passion for sports storytelling with the ambitions of the nine-time continental champions.
