Match Commissioners Unveil Stylish New Blazers as NPFL Season Begins

As the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) kicked off at the Moshood Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta, match commissioners across the country debuted a sleek new look, courtesy of a partnership with Premium Trust Bank.

The Chairman of the NFF Match Commissioners Appointment Committee and member of the NFF Executive Committee, Alhaji Babagana Kalli, expressed appreciation to NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) for facilitating the collaboration.

‘Thanks to Premium Trust Bank, our match commissioners now have a refreshed and professional appearance. We officially launched the new blazers during the season opener between Remo Stars FC and Rivers United FC,’ Kalli told thenff.com.

Kalli, a FIFA Match Commissioner himself, emphasized the importance of excellence and accountability in the new season. He revealed the introduction of a “situation room” to enhance match-day preparations and ensure strict adherence to updated NPFL regulations.

‘We now engage with all match commissioners two days before each fixture through the situation room,” he explained. “This platform allows us to reinforce new rules and expectations outlined in the revised NPFL Rule Book.’

He concluded with a firm message: ‘To whom much is given, much is expected. With all the recent innovations and support, there will be zero tolerance for negligence, indiscipline, or failure to meet professional standards. Match commissioners must rise to the occasion.’
