Former Liverpool and Manchester United great, Michael Owen believes Arsenal can end Manchester City and Liverpool’s domination in the Premier League after the Gunners put on another classy performance at the Emirates stadium on Boxing Day

Arsenal underlined their title credentials with a 3-1 turnaround win over West Ham to extend their lead at the top of the log to seven points.

Said Benrahama’s first-half penalty put the Hammers ahead, but two goals in five minutes turned the match on its head.

Bukayo Saka levelled on 53 minutes with a neat touch and low finish before Gabriel Martinelli hammered home Arsenal’s second from Granit Xhaka’s pass.

Eddie Nketiah put the seal on proceedings with a low shot for his first Premier League goal of the season as he stepped up in the absence of injured striker Gabriel Jesus.

Owen told Premier League productions after the game the Gunners have proved to be the real deal.

‘I think it is very difficult to be campaigning with the Man Cities and Liverpools of this world at the moment but Arsenal feel like they are making up right through and they are like the closest team to end that domination.

‘I have to doff my cap and say Arsenal are the real deal right now. they look very good and I can’t wait to see them play the likes of Man City because they are looking like they are in really good shape with some brilliant players and they have got great vibes around the club,’ said the Engalnd legend.

Owen won the Premier League title once (2010/11), the golden boot twice and was voted player of the season once.

He scored 150 goals and bagged 31 assists in 326 appearances.
