Moses Simon remains FC Nantes’ Most Valuable Player, 14th best in Nigeria

Moses Simon is still FC Nantes’ Most Valuable Player after Transfermarkt updated the market values of 306 players playing in France’s Ligue 1.
The Nigerian is still valued at €12m, his highest career valuation he first got in May this year and which he retained following an update in June.
Simon is however the 14th most valuable Nigerian, 78th among all players of the Ligue 1 and 886th among all players worldwide.
The 29 year old who joined FC Nantes in July 2020 has scored 33 times and provided 36 assists in 181 appearances.
Olympique Lyon’s Nigeria forward, Gift Orban dropped from €15m to €10m following his indifferent season he has been having after switching Belgian Jupiler Pro League side, KAA Gent for the Ligue 1 side in January.
From scoring 32 goals in 52 games for KAA Gent, the 22 year old has managed to score just five in 21 appearances since he joined in January.
Another Nigerian whose value dropped expectedly is Terem Moffi who has been injured and has been out of competitive football action since the end of last season.
The 25 year old OGC Nice forward’s market value has dropped from €20m to €18m, his second drop since he first reached a career high valuation of €25m in October 2023.
Montpellier’s Nigeria forward, Akor Adams market value also dropped for the second time in 2024 from €10m in June to €9m.
Interestingly, the 24 year old is still ranked number 1 among all players at Montpellier, 17th among all players from Nigeria and 117th among all players in Ligue 1.
