Napoli bow to Galatasaray’s request in Osimhen transfer saga

Negotiations between Napoli and Galatasaray over Victor Osimhen have taken a dramatic turn.
Initially summoned to Napoli’s pre-season camp at Castel Volturno, the Nigerian striker was later excluded from the squad following a special request from Galatasaray.
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport and CalcioNapoli24, Galatasaray urged Napoli not to involve Osimhen in training activities until the transfer deal is finalized.
Napoli, despite earlier plans to include the player, complied with the Turkish club’s request and skipped medical checks for Osimhen.
The Turkish champions recently submitted a structured offer: €40 million upfront and €35 million in two bank-guaranteed installments.
While Napoli has yet to accept the terms, the move to exclude Osimhen from camp signals a softening stance.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is reportedly keen to remain in Istanbul. Talks between the two clubs have intensified, with both sides pushing to wrap up the deal soon.
