Napoli cast doubt on Osimhen deal, say transfer has only 30% chance

The transfer saga surrounding Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has taken another twist, with Napoli refuting claims that Galatasaray provided the requested letter of guarantee for his €75 million move.

Despite reports suggesting that the Turkish champions had met Napoli’s financial conditions, a Napoli executive told Sabah that the guarantee letter had not been received, calling the information ‘completely false.’

The official also cast doubt on the likelihood of the transfer materializing, estimating the chances at just 30 percent.

Negotiations between the two clubs have been tense, with Napoli reportedly rejecting Galatasaray’s latest offer, which included €40 million upfront, €35 million to be paid by 2026, and a share of any future sale.

Galatasaray, unwilling to accept these terms, has signaled that no further offers will be made unless Napoli revises its demands.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and is eager to make the move permanent, remains in limbo as both clubs dig in their heels.

With the release clause deadline passed and no resolution in sight, the striker’s future hangs in the balance.
