Napoli President: Osimhen injured, out for two weeks

Osimhen is injured.
The Nigerian, according to reports returned from international duty complaining of discomfort in his left adductor muscle.
A round of medical tests confirmed that he’s suffered a distractive lesion, an injury that could keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.
The 24 year old will certainly miss the upcoming clash with Milan on April 2 and is also at risk of being ruled out of their two Champions League quarter-
final clashes with the Rossoneri, scheduled for April 12 and 18.
‘He should be out for a couple of weeks, we hope,’ confirmed De Laurentiis.
‘These are games where any result could happen, you can never know. Milan have some great players, they too are missing someone, and we hope it will be a
balanced, entertaining match for the two sets of fans. This is what football should bring us.’
Osimhen will now miss the chance to move a step above Cameroun legend, Samuel Eto’o as the top scoring African in a single Serie A season as well as the
opportunity to match George Weah as the top scoring African in the history of the competition.
The Nigerian will also miss the chance to extend his lead as the top scorer in the league this season. His 21 goals in 23 games are the most scored so far by
any player in the league and seven more than second placed Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan.
