Ndidi, Iheanacho’s Foxes backed by bookmakers to avoid relegation

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho’s Leicester City have been backed by bookmakers to avoid the drop to the Championship at the end of the season, with the
club rated at fifth favourites to be relegated in just a few weeks time.

The Foxes currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League table, but are only out of the bottom three thanks to their goal difference.

Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are all on 30 points with four games left to play for the Foxes and Forest while Leeds have played a game
more.

After two draws in their last two games, City travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham on Monday afternoon. Leeds lost 2-1 at Manchester City while Forest
host Southampton on Monday night.

Ahead of those games, bookmakers SkyBet have City rated at odds of 15/8 to be relegated at the end of the season. That makes them fifth favourites, behind
Southampton, Leeds, Everton and Forest.

Joe Aribo and Onuachu’s Southampton are by far favourites for the drop, with odds at 1/66. The Saints are bottom of the league and six points adrift from
safety.

Leeds are then the next favourites, but they are at much longer odds of 4/7. The Whites are currently out of the relegation zone on goal difference, but have
four of their last five games.

After City, West Ham, who are four points clear of the drop zone, and who City play on the final day of the season, are given odds of 25/1 to be relegated at
the end of the season.

Chelsea won their first Premier League match since March but can still mathematically be relegated. Bookmakers don’t think that is very likely with odds of
250/1.
