Ndidi set for 271st start on 300th Leicester City game
Wilfred Ndidi is set to start for the 271st time on his 300th game for Leicester City on Saturday when they face Wolves at the Molineux in a Premier League matchweek 34 games.
The Nigerian who is already relegated with the Foxes for the second time in three seasons joined the Foxes from Belgian Pro League side, KRC Genk in January 2017.
He has started 270 times in the 299 games for Foxes with the bulk of the starts (202) coming in 216 games in the Premier League.
He started in four games he played in the UEFA Champions League and all four in the Conference League and seven times in 13 Europa League matches.
He was in the Foxes team that won the FA Cup in 2021, a competition in which he scored twice in 18 appearances.
Ndidi also featured once in the Community Shield, 16 in the EFL Cup where he scored thrice and 32 matches when the Foxes were first relegated to the Sky Bet Championship. Here, he scored four times and provided five assists.
The 28-year-old has not scored for Leicester City in 24 Premier League appearances so far this term and would want to exit the competition with the Foxes with at least a goal.
His chances of scoring do not look good however as he has not neither scored nor provided an assist in the six games he has played against Wolves in the Premier league.
