NFF Applauds Omidiran’s Appointment as FCC Chair

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Honourable Ayo Hulayat Omidiran following her appointment as Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Speaking from Abuja, NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) described the appointment as a testament to the administration’s commitment to integrity, competence, and credibility.
He praised Omidiran’s longstanding contributions to Nigerian football, especially her pioneering role in women’s football.
‘Honourable Omidiran is one of our own. Her name is etched in the history of Nigerian football.
From founding and funding Omidiran Babes to serving on the NFF Executive Committee and the FIFA Women’s Football Committee, she has been a pillar of the sport,’ Gusau stated.
Omidiran’s legacy extends beyond the pitch. As a two-term Member of the House of Representatives, she championed youth and sports development, leaving behind a record of altruism and public service. Her dedication to empowering the girl-child through football has inspired generations.
