Nicky Butt: Why Man United Should Sign Osimhen
Former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt has urged his former club to target Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.
Butt believes Osimhen’s physical attributes and style of play make him an ideal addition to United’s attack, especially alongside Benjamin Sesko.
Speaking to the Mirror UK, Butt said Sesko cannot carry the team’s frontline alone and needs a partner who can elevate his game.
He described Osimhen as strong, quick, capable of running in behind defenses, and versatile in scoring different types of goals, including aerial finishes.
Butt acknowledged that Osimhen has yet to prove himself in the Premier League but insisted his physicality and footballing qualities would allow him to adapt.
He added that players from Turkish clubs are often attainable, making Osimhen a realistic option for United.
This endorsement adds weight to ongoing speculation about United’s search for a new striker as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
