‘Nigeria was a very difficult opponent,’ Says Brazil goalkeeper, Lorena

Brazil goalkeeper Lorena says the Super Falcons were a very difficult team to play but insists they deserved the 1-0 win.

Lorena did not hide her happiness after the end of the team’s opening group game at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

She was out of the last World Cup after suffering a strain in the anterior cruciate ligament of her left knee months before the opening of the competition.

“Unfortunately I ended up missing a great competition in 2023 and I’m very happy to be back, very happy to be able to help the team,” commented Lorena.

“Nigeria was a very difficult opponent and we deserved the victory, we went out playing and achieved what we wanted. There were some substitutions and whoever came in showed that the group is united,” said Lorena
