Nigeria took control early, leading 14-9 at halftime, before extending their advantage in the second half to secure a comprehensive victory.
The triumph capped a flawless campaign for the team, who remained consistent throughout the tournament.
In the Junior category, Coach David Emmanuel’s U20 side mirrored that dominance, overcoming Benin Republic 39-29 in the final.
Nigeria established early superiority with a 22-16 halftime lead and maintained their intensity after the break to seal a deserved win.
With both victories, Nigeria completed a remarkable double, underlining the nation’s growing strength in youth handball across the region.
By virtue of their triumphs, the teams have now qualified to represent Zone 3 at the IHF Trophy Africa Continental Phase later this year, where they will compete against the best teams from across the continent.
