Nnamdi hits second career best throw to seal third straight NCAA Outdoor Championship appearance

Baylor University’s Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi threw a distance of 82.54m to win the NCAA West First Round in Fayetteville, Arkansas and qualify for his third straight NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championship scheduled to hold next month at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

It was the Nigerian’s second longest career throw in the Javelin after his 82.80m effort to set a new Nigeria record and win the African Games title in Accra, Ghana in March.

Nnamdi will now be looking forward to throwing himself into first place in Oregon after placing third last year when the competition was held in Austin, Texas.
