No Amusan on start list as Jackson set to make 2025 indoor debut at Queens/Grace Jackson Track and Field Meet

There is no Tobi Amusan in the 60m start list as two-time World champion in the 200m, Shericka Jackson looks set to make her 2025 indoor debut at the Queens/Grace Jackson Track and Field Meet on Saturday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Amusan was reportedly confirmed for the event but on Friday evening when the start list for the 60m event was released by the organizers of the meet, the Nigerian’s name was not in any of the three 60m start list for senior athletes.

There are just four non-Jamaicans in the start list released for the three finals. They are Anthonique Strachan from the Bahamas, Kishawna Niles from Barbados, Paris Summer King from Great Britain and Hannah-Faith G. Bell from Saint Lucia.

There is no 60m hurdles for the senior athletes in the programme of events.

Nigerians are eager to see Amusan return to action for the first since August 9, 2024 when she ran 12.55 to place third in the first semifinals of the 100m hurdles at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Despite running that fast, the Nigerian failed to advance to her second Olympic final in the event.
