No word on Eguavoen’s Ghana Black Stars job offer on GFA website
The purported move by the Ghana Football Association, GFA, to offer Austin Equavoen, the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, the Black Stars coaching job could only be the figment of imagination of whoever broke the news.
Sportsnow.com.ng’s checks on the website of the GFA, ghanafa.org, did not indicate the coming of the former Super Eagles defender, captain and coach.
Eguavoen’s name propped up in a letter purportedly written by the GFA offering the erstwhile caretaker manager of the Nigeria senior national team the Black Stars job.
Sportsnow.com.ng found out the Black Stars coaching job is not vacant as former international, Otto Addo is still the head coach.
In fact the only coaching job that is vacant is that of the Black Queens, the female national team following the expiration of Nora Hauptle’s contract.
A message to that effect is on GFA website.
‘The GFA will announce a new Coach for the Black Queens in due course,’ wrote the GFA in the media statement made available to the press and which is on its website.
