Nothingham Forest Vs Man United: Nuno seeking for third win in 11 games Vs Red Devils
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espírito Santo will be seeking for his third win in 11 games against Manchester United when both sides face off Saturday in a Premier League matchweek 20 tie at the City Ground in Nottingham.
Nuno, as boss of Wolves in the 2018/19 season defeated Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup in March 2019 and also 2-1 in the Premier League the following month both at the Molineux.
Nuno has lost four of the remaining eight games while four ended in draws.
The former Wolves boss who replaced Steve Cooper on December 20, 2023 as the new gaffer at Nothingham Forest is confident of beating the Red Devils for the third time in his managerial career.
‘It’s a big club with fantastic players.
‘We know it’s going to be hard, we saw what they did against Aston Villa and how they came from behind to change the game.
‘We expect a difficult game, so we have to take care of all these details of the Man United team because they are so good.
‘But we are at The City Ground, we’re coming back from a good game, so we want to compete well.
‘We have to be positive and go for the game. We saw that in the second half at St. James’ Park with our fans singing Mull of Kintyre. To hear that gives us a boost.
‘We’re going to be at The City Ground and our priority is to be ourselves,’ he told the club’s official website.
