NPFL: Bayelsa seeking fourth home win in a row as they host Abia Warriors in Yenagoa
After losing 2-0 at Remo Stars last week, Bayelsa United will return to the Samson Siasia stadium in Yenagoa on Saturday to continue their impressive home run as the seek to win for the fourth home game in a row.
Coached by former Flying Eagles manager, Ladan Bosso, Bayelsa gave up their four-game unbeaten run in Ikenne last week after winning three of their last four games and will be eager to kickstart another unbeaten run by beaten visiting Abia Warriors on Saturday.
The visitors are however seeking to end their four-game away losing run since they defeated Bendel Insurance towards the end of October. They have not only lost all four but have also failed to score in three.
They will however be without the trio of Odinaka Anaeto, Prince Okorie and Chinemerem Meme Okike are set to miss the matchday 19 clash with Bayelsa United.
The last league encounter between the two sides at the Samson Siasia Stadium saw the home side come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Abia Warriors in December 2023.
Saturday’s game promises to be an exciting one as the Umuahia Warlords will look to get one over their former head coach, Bosso.
