NPFL Sanctions Kun Khalifat FC Over Matchday 24 No-Show

Kun Khalifat FC have been sanctioned by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for breaching its Framework and Rules after failing to honour their Matchday 24 fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors on Monday, February 2, 2026.

The club’s explanation for missing the game was deemed unacceptable by league authorities. As a result, Kun Khalifat have forfeited three points and three goals, which have been awarded to El-Kanemi Warriors in line with NPFL regulations.

In addition, the club has been fined ₦10 million for failing to meet its match obligations. The fine is a suspended sentence, meaning it will remain in effect for the rest of the season unless a similar breach occurs.

Kun Khalifat FC have been given 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal the sanctions.
