NSC Mourns Dr. Chamberlain Dunkwu, Leader of Aquatic Sports
The National Sports Commission (NSC) has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu, President of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAqF).
His death marks a significant loss for the Nigerian sporting community, particularly in the field of aquatic sports where he was a driving force for progress and innovation.
Dr. Dunkwu was celebrated for his unwavering dedication to the growth of swimming and other water-based disciplines.
Under his leadership, the federation strengthened its structures, expanded grassroots initiatives, and created pathways for young athletes to showcase their talents on national and international stages.
In a heartfelt tribute, the NSC described his passing as a painful blow to Nigerian sports.

Beyond his contributions to sports, Dr. Dunkwu also served the nation in governance as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, where he played a vital role in administrative coordination and institutional leadership.
